Happy Birthday To Angie
Tomorrow is Angie's Birthday in celebration Jake, Kaycie and I made her a birthday cake from a cookbook I just bought called Sky High Cakes. We made the Chocolate Cola Cake with Coconut Pecan Frosting.
We used Dr Pepper in this recipe
While we were making the cake we talked about the things that make Angie so great.
Jake said his mom is great at golf and she is very organized. Jake is so glad she cleans the house while they sit around and watch television. Jake likes to go golfing and to movies with her.
Kaycie said that her mom is nice and pretty and smart and has nice clothes (she does have nice clothes and always has really great hair). Kaycie also said she likes to play games with her mom.
Happy Birthday Angie!

Craft and Hobby Show
Last weekend Kat and I spent two sun filled days in Anaheim attending the Craft and Hobby Show. We left snow covered Utah at 5 a.m and flew into one of my favorite airports....Newport Beach. As soon as we stepped off of the plane it felt so great....it was only 7 am and it was already warm.
We went directly to the show and walked around and attended a couple of meetings with vendors.
We left the show and went to our hotel and sat on the balcony in the amazing sunshine.
We spent the evening in Disneyland.
I love Disneyland. I think everyone needs a trip to Disneyland at least once a year. Even just 5 hours there does so much to relax and inspire me.
My Disneyland favorites are-
The Parade. I love it I am such a sucker for this kind of stuff.
The Fireworks. They are amazing this year. The fireworks always make me cry....nerd.
Splash Mountain.
We spent the next day back at the show and it was filled with celebrity sightings.
Can I have a vowel.....Vanna White (selling yarn)
And Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman (selling paint)
If you are into the scrapbooking/papercrafting thing these were my favorite findings
Ki Memories had bright colorful gel-like stickers
Also, fun felt albums
The Jenni Bowlin booth was amazing. She has a line of fun vintage looking paper items
I thought this calender was so cool. The graphics are from an actual calendar from the early 1900's
Fabric designer Heather Bailey has a new line of paper products very cool
K and Company has a line designed by illistrator Donna Ingermanson who does work for the catalog and store Land of Nod
Very cool stuff.......not really being a scrapbooker I have no idea what you would really do with any of it but it is cool to look at.

Rescue Me!!!!
Yesterday I found out someone was using my name, address and birth date to apply for credit cards over the internet. Nice! I put a fraud alert on my credit report. I was worrying about some freak ruining my credit score as I left my house this morning and just as I shut my door I realized I left my keys inside and now I was locked out. As the snow began to fall I called a couple of people who were not home and then thought who can help me? I called my cousin Tiffany and she came right over and rescued me!!! I found a key at my parents house and was able to get in and get my keys. As I was driving to work in a blizzard I thought about how grateful I was to Tiffany for helping me out. If she was not around to help me I would have been sitting outside in a blizzard.
Thanks Tiffany You Are Great!!!
