One Little Word

During the month of December I had been thinking of the concept of picking one word to focus for the whole year. I was so happy when I found an online class dedicated to this.

The word I am focusing on is
Move.
I felt like this was a word that would inspire me to accomplish some great things in 2011.
I hope to Move in the following ways-
Move- get outside and get moving. Take Ruby Foo for daily walks in the mountains - get my blood circulating and moving through my body.
Move- I am always wanting to start a little side business of my very own. I need to get moving on this. Time is ticking away. This is the year figure out what this little business is going to be .........pet products related, bee/honey related. Let's go!
Move-have new adventures visit a new country/new cities shake it up. Travel as much as possible.
Move- buy or build a new house.

I spent the month of January detoxing my house ....... Moving out unnecessary clutter and tackling some house projects that I have been putting off for too long. I love the liberating feeling of a total house clean out. I know that this clean out has created room in my house and more importantly in my mind to help me focus on Moving this year.

Results of house detox-
117 items donated to charity
45 items ready to sell on ebay/amazon
1 giant trash bag filled with papers for recycling
Carpets cleaned
Office cleaned
Car cleaned
Furnace Filters changed
Working on sorting through magazines and adding to Evernote
Garage Cleaned
Light fixtures cleaned
The resolution not to buy any more-bath salt or bubbles, bath bombs from lush, candles, lip gloss, cookbooks or blank notebooks.

In our little online class there is a creative prompt every month-
This was the first project...doing a little research on the meaning of our words and finding so fun quotes.

I am inspired by you to hit the all house clean out again. We are in the midst of a raging blizzard today so this is the perfect day to attack the closets. Thanks!

Wow - you inspire me! I want to "detox" my house, too. Can't believe you did the whole thing in one month! I got only half of the kitchen done. :) You have big goals with your word, move! Buy or build a new house! Wow. Go for it! Hope all your goals happen for you!

I love the energy behind your word. Staying active is so important to me. A house detox? This might be something I need to consider.

LOL--your January list made me laugh! But great job on "moving" it out of your house into someone's who can use it. :)

Great word. I love what you plan to focus on for the year. And that 'Go' card is adorable. And your list of what not to buy any more is the BEST! If you move to China, all those temptations will be removed - not a bath bomb in sight! : ) Actually, not true, an imported one will run you around $30USD. Kind of takes the fun out of it! Good luck with all the goals. Thanks for joining the blog hop! Margie (http://xnomads.typepad.com)
